About the Uppsala–Tartu Young Professionals Exchange Program

The Tartu-Uppsala Young Professionals Exchange Program (YPEP) will be launched in 2026 and aims to develop the leadership skills of emerging leaders while fostering new regional connections between Uppsala and Tartu. Inspired by the successful Sweden–Estonia Young Leaders Program launched in 2022, YPEP builds on a proven concept that has effectively brought together young professionals from both countries. Participants, aged 25–40, are selected from a variety of sectors including academia, business, culture, NGOs, politics, and the public sector.

The program includes a combination of lectures, meetings, and professional exchanges held in both Estonia and Sweden. During the two sessions—one in Tartu and one in Uppsala—participants will engage with leading experts in their respective fields and share their own insights, helping one another navigate the complex environments in which they operate.

YPEP provides a unique platform for networking, knowledge-sharing, and the creation of new opportunities for future Swedish–Estonian collaboration.

The program is initiated by the Sweden–Estonia Cooperation Fund and co-funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers, Carl Bennet AB, East Capital, Tartu City Administration, Uppsala City Administration.
