Hasse Olsson, laureate of the Sweden–Estonia Cooperation Award 2024, has passed away

In memory of Hasse Olsson

The Sweden–Estonia Cooperation Fund is deeply saddened by the passing of Hasse Olsson on 10 March 2026.

As a laureate of the Sweden–Estonia Cooperation Award 2024, Hasse Olsson was honoured for his exceptional role in bringing Sweden and Estonia closer together. His contribution to the development of Estonia’s business media, including his role in the founding of Äripäev, and his broader commitment to Estonia–Sweden relations made him a highly deserving recipient of the award.

Hasse Olsson’s life and work remain an important part of the story of Swedish–Estonian cooperation. We are grateful for everything he did and will remember him with great respect. Our sincere condolences go out to his loved ones.
