Invitation to Apply for Sweden-Estonia Cooperation Grants 2024

The Sweden-Estonia Cooperation Fund is delighted to announce the availability of Sweden-Estonia cooperation grants, designed to foster collaborative initiatives between organizations in Sweden and Estonia. We believe that these grants will play a pivotal role in promoting cross-cultural exchange and strengthening the bond between our two nations.

Since 2021, The Foundation has approved 24 applications, resulting in a disbursement of more than 1 000 000 SEK / 90 000 EUR for Sweden-Estonia related cooperation projects.

Who can apply?

Individuals, organizations, associations, and institutions from Sweden and/or Estonia are eligible. Grants are typically not awarded to municipalities, regions, or government agencies.

For what can you apply?

The fund primarily grants support for the following purposes:

  • Promoting mutual exchange and knowledge dissemination about culture and societal conditions.

  • Facilitating exchange and cooperation for network-building among young people to promote social cohesion, creativity, innovations, and the formation of new enterprises.

  • Supporting initiatives that promote Estonian language and culture in Sweden and vice versa for Swedish language and culture in Estonia.

What can you not apply for?

The fund does not approve grants for technical equipment, costs for material, repairs, construction, memorials, or similar items. Additionally, grants are not approved for study trips, administrative costs, or salaries that should be covered by public means. Exchange between public schools or sports events and projects without clear mutual exchange is also ineligible.

How much can you apply for?

The fund generally approves Project grants up to 5000 EUR/project and Travel grants or Translation grants up to 500 EUR/person.

When can you apply for grants?

In 2024, the regular application period is between February 1 and March 31.

We eagerly anticipate receiving innovative and collaborative project proposals that will contribute to the growth and development of partnerships between Sweden and Estonia.
