New Estonian Board Members Appointed to the Sweden-Estonia Cooperation Fund

The Estonian government has as of May 8 2025 approved the appointment of Marek Kiisa and Hanno Tomberg as new board members of the Sweden-Estonia Cooperation Fund, replacing Jaan Manitski and Hendrik Voll.

We warmly thank Jaan and Hendrik for their valuable contributions over the years and welcome Marek and Hanno to the board. Both bring extensive experience in entrepreneurship, innovation, and public-private cooperation, and will play a key role in strengthening the Fund’s mission of fostering collaboration between Sweden and Estonia.

Marek Kiisa is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with a strong background in technology and innovation. He is actively involved in supporting early-stage startups and has served on various advisory and supervisory boards in Estonian and other Nordic innovation ecosystem.

Hanno Tomberg has a long-standing track record in public sector leadership, media, and business development. He has previously held key positions at the Estonian Public Broadcasting (ERR) and Enterprise Estonia (EAS), contributing to the development of entrepreneurship and international cooperation initiatives. Currently he serves as Head of Lifelong Learning Department Open University at TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology.

The Board of the Sweden-Estonia Cooperation Fund comprises eight members - Kadri Land (Chair/Co-Chair), Maris Lauri, Marek Kiisa and Hanno Tomberg representing Estonia, and Pär Nuder (Vice-Chair / Co-Chair), Elisabeth Nilsson, Magnus Brännström and Li Bennich-Björkman, representing Sweden.
